I thought auto start for cars was only possible if you bought a new car. Since that is not possible for us I decided that was a luxury that I would do without. We have a 2003 vehicle that is paid for! I think many people think that if they have an older car than they just have to go without those fun features. But…. that is not the case! I had to try this for myself and see if anyone really could install it. My husband and I are not very mechanical. We are not the type who do things on the car ourself. In fact we are the ones that make things worse when we do them ourself. So we have learn to hire people when it comes to the car! So were we able to do install the auto start?
YES! It comes with a great cd that helps clearly explain everything. We sat and watched it together. There is also a diagram online that helps explain every wire. You can see what wire goes where. We also called the customer service to be sure that our car was compatible. We did not see it in the manual and wanted to double check. And yes it was. He helped us further by explaining where to find more helpful tools online. With these tools we were able to plan it out before we touched the car. It seemed simple!
And it was! It took a careful precision and a little time but we were able to install it! And now on a HOT day I am able to cool off my car with the touch of a button. This is an amazing gift for moms who tote kids along all day long. And dads love this because they feel cool!

It is interesting that so many people here would use this for cooling down their cars in the summer. I never would have even thought of that…
I would like this because I won’t have to trudge through the snow when it is 0, push enough snow off it to gain access to the door, start it, turn on the defroster, then go back inside and finish getting ready while, hopefully, everything melts.
This is a real pain when you are going to drive the mile or so to the store.
I would love to skip the step where I go outside to start the car….

Oh how I would love to win this. I live in Northern Maine and I commute an hour and a half one way to work so I get up at 4am in order to make it to work on time and during the winter months that early in the morning it is freezing outside, with well below zero temps. It’s so cold you can’t just start your car and leave because the engine is frozen and the windshield has frost 1/8 inch thick on it. With my hair still wet I run outside start the car and while the car is warming up I finish getting ready for work. This is definitely no fun~! My hair freezes in the time I walk to my car start it and walk back into my home. Thanks so much for sharing this review and giveaway with all of us

I’d love to win so that I can warm up or cool down my car by remote when its super hot or super cold outside so that my baby won’t freeze or boil in the back seat. Of course I do that now, but its all manually done and can be a pain when I have to park kinda far away from the door or if its raining.

I’d love to win this for my mom, who has to drive 30 miles to work each day – I know it would make her life a little easier (and more pleasant) in both the summer and winter to be able to start and cool off/warm up her car before getting in it. I know she’s even talked about getting a remote starter in the past, so I’m sure she’d love the surprise. Thanks!
