A few weeks back I wrote about throwing a block party to get to know your neighbors. I introduced White Pages to you and how they can help with throwing this party and getting to know your neighbors. It is an easy way to invite even those you do not know. They help with all the hard stuff like locating and find their names. I LOVE that I live on a street where I know most of my neighbors. In fact my kids know the adults as well. That is something that brings me alot of peace. I feel safer and happier knowing the people that live around me. Today is the perfect day to show them I care and say thank you. My son and I are going to bake some cookies and give them out this evening. Who does not love a plate of homemade cookies?

We give our neighbor all of our soda cans because he crushes them and turns them in for money. He makes extra cash, and we reduce our own waste! We help each other!

We really try, but we have one neighbor who keeps smoking pot outside during the day. On the other hand, the other neighbor brought over ice cream cones for all of us yesterday!

I try to be a good neighbor by always being friendly, smiling, saying hi, and offering to pick up their mail/ watch their pets when they go out of town.
Raking leaves for my elderly neighbors is a god way to be a good neighbor. I will do that this weekend.

We keep watch over their house while they are away.
I’m a good neighbor, for the fact that my fiance and I clean up our next door neighbors’ yard each time we do our own. We mow, trim, weedeat, etc. If there’s a storm, we pick up the branches in their yard. My fiance has even cut down trees for them, so they wouldn’t fall on their house (sounds silly, but they were huge dead trees-super dangerous in a wind storm). They are elderly, Bob is 79 and his wife Millie is 96…their story is amazing, so helping them is the least we can do. Such great people.

I’ve loaned my neighbor money and gave her food when she needed it and when she had surgery I moved her trash can for her and carried in her groceries for her. When my other neighbors have a lot of company I let them park in my drive so they can have plenty of room.

Oh boy…I just explained on Mama’s page. I am really nice to my really awful neighbors. I am just going to be extra nice. Its 444am CDT and they’re finally sleeping. YAY! The adults, mind you…so, I’ll just leave it at that.
Now, my former neighbors, heck! We would watch each others houses, and if someone made something for dinner and there was extra, well – get your butt over here because you’re gonna help us eat it too! Real Mayberry kinda stuff…really miss that!

We have a couple of elderly neighbors. so on thursday we put their trash out for friday pick up.

I’m a good neighbour by helping out those in need. My downstairs neighbors are elderly and I help by carrying in their groceries, laundry, etc. I also donate food and clothing to local charities and attend of volunteer at fundraisers.
We always make sure our house is presentable, inside and ouside especially. That way people want to live near us and we also make sure our neighbors are cared for by meals or welcoming new ones to the neighborhood!
theres an older lady that lives next door, and everyone in this house helps her out with mowing the lawn, feeding her cats when shes gone, takes her trash out when its trash day, and she has also done so much for me personally. shes like family to us
I have lived in my house for 6 years and never really talked to any of my neighbors. But that all changed with Hurricane Irene this year. A tree fell on our house and all the neighbors rushed over to make sure me and my children where ok. That made realize I could be a better neighbor by saying a simple hello and letting them know I am here for them if they are ever in need of help.

I use my coupons not only to help my family but to help a family in my neighborhood..I helped them with school supplies, food,and anything else they need. I don’t have alot but I still try to make a difference not only in my kids eyes but the eyes of that families little ones too!
