Share Halloween Love With A Boo Bag! #DontBeTheDarkHouse #CBias #Halloween

PhotobucketMany think of Halloween as a time to scare people, but I think it is a time for fun and making others smile! When I heard about Boo Bags from my friends at Collective Bias I was very curious! My friends there explained to me that a Boo Bag is a like a gift that keeps giving! You surprise someone with a boo bag (a bag filled with halloween goodies) and they then pass boo love on to others.

You can do it on your street, for co-workers, friends, family, etc. I decided to do it to my dear friend….. I can’t say! It is suppose to be a surprise. Several bloggers from Collective Bias decided to choose someone in the blogging world to send this special bag to. I thought for about 1 second and knew who I was sending this to! First of all, she invited me to Collective Bias and opening the door to this social shopping experience. From that I have received lots of fun opportunities (that you have seen here) and met lots of amazing bloggers! But beyond that she is my real friend. She is the one I text, call, instant message, etc. when I am excited, burned out, confused, worried or have a big new idea. She is honest with me and never fails me! This is a friendship that has gone far beyond “blogging buddies”. We talk about REAL stuff, like potty training, sickness and husbands. I don’t know what I would do without her. So…. you can see why she was an easy pick for me to boo!

So I took off to Walmart, my one stop shop for everything. I decided to find all the MARS yummy candies (M&M’s,
Dove chocolates, Twix, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way, Mars bars, etc.) I could find. Snickers are one of my favorites so I was sure to get a bag of Halloween mini Snickers. Now I know that she has 3 kiddos and I am sure they will want some of her boo goodies. so with that in mind I picked up a few things for the kids too. You can see my entire shopping trip by clicking on the photo below or clicking here.

I standard gift bag was just not worthy of this special boo bag. So I got the following to create an “extra spooky” boo bag. Here is what I did:

The stamps did not work on the bag so I had to use stickers.

I filled up the bottom with the MARS candies

Then separated her little boy and girls’ things.

I filled up the kids’ bags with their goodies and sat the bags on top of her candies.

I filled up the rest of the bag with candy and then used the halloween garland to top it off. (use this instead of tissue paper)

I was so excited with how it turned out! I packed it up nicely using the remaning garland to cushion the bag. I rushed to the post office and shipped it off. I can not wait till she receives it!

Again this is a secret so I can’t say who I sent it to but if you are looking for a fabulous blogger I would suggest Brett from This Mama Loves Her Bargains (I am not saying that is who I sent it to). But if you want to stop by and shop her some boo love that would be awesome! Wink! Wink!

Who would you like to surprise this Halloween? Neighbors, church friends, co-workers, bloggers, close friends or family. The list goes on and on of people who would be thrilled to receive some boo love from you! You can make someone smile today! If you do PLEASE come back and share it with us! If you have a picture share it on Living on Love and Cents Facebook page to inspire others.

Who will you BOOOOO today?

I totally love this idea!! Unfortunately my fiance’s ex moved away to Indiana over the summer,[about 700 miles from us ]so we don’t get to see his son very much now – this is a wonderful idea for something special for us to do for him this Halloween
