What Is Brave Woman?
“Brave Woman is a grassroots movement to shift personal and public perception of women facing domestic violence situations from a victim mentality to one of courage and strength.”
We CAN and must stop this! The first step is to be brave yourself. Think about your relationships. Is it a healthy relationship for everyone involved? Is everyone happy and cared for? Are there things you are hiding from the world? If so PLEASE turn to resources like Brave Woman!
I have thought about what I can do to be brave and help other women be brave. For starters we all need to be aware of our worth. We are all beautiful, precious, smart and strong women. No woman deserves to be hurt in ANY way! This means sexual abuse, domestic violence or verbal abuse. They all tear down one’s soul piece by piece until there is nothing left.
After taking this pledge I realized that I CAN help others. I am strong and maybe someone needs to “borrow” my strength! I am thinking of the women around me and reaching out in any way I can. I will not treat them as a victim but rather as a precious and BRAVE woman! I will pray with them. I will do the little things that in the end make a huge difference! You could be saving their spirit, their children or even their life!
If you are fortunate to be in a healthy relationship PLEASE reach out to others. Take the Pledge with me! YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
I pledge to honor and respect brave women and children who tackle the difficult journey of change from domestic violence to a new life. I acknowledge my own moment-by-moment bravery, will remain aware of what is happening to others around me, and speak up against violence in any form. I will stand up for human dignity and safety for women and children.
Do you know a BRAVE WOMAN? Please pass this information along to them. You could be the push they need to do the brave thing! Please at lease share this post however you can: facebook, twitter, email! You may not realize that you are helping someone that wants to be brave!
