DIY Beauty: Homemade Chocolate Body Scrub Recipe

Did you know that a few items from your kitchen can create the perfect natural homemade chocolate body scrub? That’s right! You can create the luxurious natural body scrub that you would buy at a specialty beauty shop. This recipe only takes minutes and costs less than a dollar to make. The following recipe was enough to create 3 small gifts. You can manipulate the measurements to create larger amounts.

Homemade Chocolate Body Scrub Recipe:

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup olive oil (can use less or more depending on desired consistancy)

1. Mix the dry ingredients above.

2. Add the oil until you have the consistency you like

3. Pour it in small containers and seal tight. This will keep for about 7 days in a tight container in the refridgerator.

We used it on our hands. It let off the aroma of chocolate. YUMMY! Scrub the mixture all over your hands and arms. Rinse with warm water. Feel your skin. It will feel like a baby’s bottom!

This makes perfect last minute girls for girls. I also filled small bottles with NIVEA lotion. I tied ribbon on the top of each little bottle. I created a complete gift by adding flip flops and individual tissues. You could also add a hand towel, soft socks or bath pillow. What mom would not like a chocolate and relaxing treat? For more ideas you can find other homemade beauty products on pinterest.
