Planting My Edible Container Garden Featuring Scotts Gro-AblesIt has been beautiful outside and we are spending lots of time in the sun. I have been wanting to start an edible container garden. Why a container garden? Because we are in a rental house and I can not do make any permenant changes.

My son loves to help me with everything so when I wanted to start our edible container garden, I had to find a way to include him.

We all know I have a black thumb but when I discovered the Scotts Gro-Ables I realized I COULD DO THIS! YES! Well, I should be able to do this. These pods made it seem that I had a chance at a real live edible garden. My son and I were excited to get gardening. In case you missed the post about Gro-ables, watch this video to see why I was so excited! You will be too!

The Gro-ables pods made it a breeze! We got out our gardening supplies and got to work.

We started with small containers. If they grow and live, we will switch them to larger ones. Planting My Edible Container Garden Featuring Scotts Gro-Ables3

Put soil in the pots and placed the pods in the pots. All you have to do is put it in the soil. No need to cover it.

We added water.

We added it to the grape vine we have planted in a container. Planting My Edible Container Garden Featuring Scotts Gro-Ables2

After about 10 minutes my son said “We are the veggetables?” NOW that is optimistic! He is ready to see them grow!

It won’t be long now. I am so ready to see them grow and start cooking with our fresh vegetables from the edible container garden.

Update: Here is how they look today. Not producing anything yet, but they will!Planting My Edible Container Garden Featuring Scotts Gro-Ables2
